I was watching novelas which are Mexican soap opras about love and tragedy. My mother always watches them with me and she always says how do they do that? I thought maybe rather than reading their scrip over and over again they would act it out. Duhhhhhhhh I thought to myself. I thought more about the actors in movies who are not familiar with the character they get chosen for. For example, if I wanted to be in a karate movie I would definitely take karate lessons and actually do it. To better understand the character and the story, acting it out would for sure give you a better perspective of whats going on. I think it's the same for students who are reading plays. I remember reading plays like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Brutus and Cesar. Every single one of them we acted out except a few and I saw that acting it out helped me better understand the story. Acting is fun anyway and makes me even more interested in the play.
