Field Trip #3 March 1

Today I left school early like every Monday and I was on time and ready to go. As soon as I walked in the class the students like usual were already working on their worksheets.
As I was observing Ms. Carney's class I realized how pleasant of a person she is and I saw that she really did care about her students very much because any other teacher who is in this profession would not spend their own money or time after school for their students.
Today was the first time she let me take action and it was pretty intense for me even if it wasn't really a huge part she gave me. I thought it was pretty difficult to stand in front of the class and read to them and assisting them when I had no experience in teaching. Awe filled my head since I've always been a student and not the teacher. I never knew that teachers took so much time and effort to just come up with lesson and even how they speak. My experience was a great experience and I felt very privileged to be called Ms. Trinidad. I felt so important and needed.

  1. Welcome to life on "the other side." I like the fact that teaching is a craft. I had such jitters when I student taught back when I started my masters program back in '94.
